ChatGPT has received a new feature that allows users to generate animated GIFs from text prompts or uploaded photos. The capability is provided by OpenAI’s Images 2.6 model, which also lets users edit individual frames and adjust playback speed.
The update is available to all ChatGPT and Codex users on web, desktop and mobile platforms, and includes two new API models – GPT‑Image‑2.6 Flare for speed and GPT‑Image‑2.6 Sunburst for high quality.
